Brooklyn Kitty Sitter is an independent Brooklyn based pet service company that serves the Park Slope and Gowanus area.


As a lifelong cat owner and lover I am dedicated to helping you keep your feline friends safe, happy and healthy!





My name is Sandra Bruening and I've been a resident of beautiful Park Slope for over three years. I've lived in NYC for eleven years and I'm originally from Michigan. My husband and I live with our Newfoundland, Ben, and our two cats, Rajiv and Number Two.

I am trained as a scientist and have spent over eight years in a laboratory setting. In 2009, I decided to make a change and start a pet service company called Subleashers, which offered cat sitting, dog walking and dog sitting. My business thrived and I had a wonderful time getting to know the people and pets in my community. I closed Subleashers in early 2011 to pursue other interests.


My current work affords me a very flexible schedule and I miss many aspects of the pet service industry. I am excited to offer a new, 100% cat focused service to Park Slope and surrounding neighborhoods. My kitties mean the world to me and I'll treat your feline pals as if they were my own. And remember, I have two years of experience as a cat sitter and plenty of references so you don't have to worry when you're away.
